Nikon D60 DSLR Camera

Nikon has introduced the D60 DSLR camera that shares a similar form factor with its smaller sibling, the D40. Definitely not meant for beginners, those who want to make the leap from simple point-and-shoot cameras could check out the D60 when it is available at a retail store near you. Some of the features include :-

  • 10.2 megapixels CCD sensor
  • 0.18 second start-up time
  • Split-second shutter response
  • Continuous shots up to three pictures per second
  • 3-D Color Matrix Metering II
  • In-camera Retouch Menu
  • Image Sensor Cleaning function

Nikon will be shipping the D60 from February onwards, which is just a couple of days’ away. There is no word on pricing as at press time, but it should remain reasonable in the DSLR region if you need to know.

Intelius Collecting Cellphone Numbers, Creating Directory [Cellphone]

Not much detail here, but we wanted to give readers the heads up that a Seattle-based company called Intelius is creating a gigantic directory of unlisted cellphone numbers (that means you!). What could they do with this info? Probably sell numbers off to whoever asks to buy them. [NBC4]

Time Lapse: Three Hours Of LEGO Slavery In Three Minutes

The Ultimate Collectors Millenium Falcon LEGO model is the company’s most complicated ever, released to celebrate its fiftieth year in business. You don’t even have to build it yourself to get a taste of how challenging it is, because some nutjob’s already done it, and put together a video compressing the nearly four-hour project into a matter of minutes. Engineering as recreation!

Little air purifiers for your baby

Isn’t this air purifer cute? Brought to us by Takara Tomy, the Climo (Baby Clean Mobile) is so compact, it can go where your baby goes, suppressing bacteria, odors, and mold, along the way.

With two 2 modes (normal and quiet) it would also be good for sleeping (wouldn’t it be handy if our babies came with a sleep switch? ) and you can set the timer for 4 hours to 12 hours.

$229 at Japan Trend Shop.

New Raspberry Clocky For Your Sweetheart

I love snoozing my alarm in the mornings and getting extra minutes of slumber before I have to get up for the day. My clock is right by the bed and I don’t even have to open my eyes to snooze it or turn it off. But some sadist came up with the Clocky alarm clock.

Clocky is an alarm clock that runs away and hides when you don’t wake up! Clocky gives you one chance to get up like a normal person. But if you try to cheat and stay in bed, Clocky will jump off of your nightstand, alarm sounding, and wheel around your room looking for a place to hide. Luckily, you can turn the feature of Clocky running away off - but then what would be the point of it?

Sure we’ve seen this gadget before - but now there’s more colors to choose from - even a raspberry color for Valentine’s Day (other colors are available)! Although I can think of nothing less romantic than an alarm clock for V. Day. But, if you’re a sadist, pick one up for $50 over at Nanda Home for your snooze-loving sweetheart.

HTC Touch Dual Review - PC Pro

PC Pro reviews the HTC Touch Dual and writes, “The original Touch launched as an iPhone competitor, but although the touch interface was great for viewing photos and playing music it was a chore to send texts or even to make phone calls. That’s what the sliding keyboard of its follow-up - the Touch Dual - aims to address.”
