There comes a time in everyone’s life when there is need for a pregnancy test. It’s usually helpful to know if you’re going to be having a child, so cheap at-home pregnancy tests are cheap and easy to obtain. Personally I’m weirded out by them and feel sorry for the women that have to use them. Seriously, who wants to squat and pee on something like that? Anyway, I was surprised to see this particular test which had a USB plug on the end.
First, let me get something straight, nothing that anyone has peed on is ever getting plugged into my computer. This device promises to analyze your urine for increased hormone levels which can be a sine of pregnancy. I don’t care how accurate this thing is, it’s not getting plugged into my computer, even if it is only $17.99.

CNET Australia reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, “For business users looking specifically for a Windows mobile device the choice between handsets is much harder than in other areas of mobile phones. Most have the best connectivity options available, most have the most popular input options, including touchscreens, and most are on the wrong side of enormous and suffer poor battery life. Moreover, with the majority of these PDA-phones priced between AU$900 and AU$1,100, the choice may come down to aesthetics alone.”

I’m always very skeptical when I hear any company saying that their particular gadget is the “world’s (insert est-adjective here)”. Case in point, the latest announcement from Sony is boasting that their latest handycam, the HDR-TG1, is the world’s smallest.
The measurements are at 1.3 x 4.7 x 2.5 inches, and it weighs in at ten ounces. Somehow, the company is able to fit in a full touchscreen at 2.7 inches, as well as MS Pro Duo and Pro Duo Mark 2 cards.
Other features include a 10x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optical zoom lens, a BIONZ processing engine, 5.1 Dolby Digital audio recording, as well as a 4 GB worth of memory.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that it shoots video with 1080i capability. It can also do stills at 4 Megapixels.
I believe that Sony is competing against similar cameras that are small, such as the Canon PowerShot TX1 and the new Vivatar DVR565D. I guess the tiny handycam market is booming.
It is nice to know that you can finally have a handycam that fits in your pocket, that you don’t have to haul around in a separate case. However, you will have to pay about $900 for the Sony HDR-TG1.

Google’s Android mobile phone OS is being talked about a lot this week. Yesterday, AT&T wireless Chief, Ralph de la Vega, says that after careful review, Android is “something we are going to want in our portfolio”. Hot diggity.
Joining the ranks of T-Mobile and Sprint, AT&T would be the biggest player so far to make a commitment to the open OS. Perhaps an in house battle is waging for AT&T, pitting Yahoo!, the companies official partner for mobile web search vs Google. Certainly this feud will grow as the mobile advertising space continues its unfettered growth.
The Android operating system for mobile phones is designed to be a simple platform that can serve ads and be easily tweaked by carriers to their liking. Its open source base has tech consumers excited.
Web browsing advances is said to be one of Andriods biggest leap forward. Indeed, web browsing is one of the major well-executed functions of the iphone and a function even Microsoft has spent some time on with their Windows Mobile 6.1 tweak announced earlier this week.

Leave it to those crazy Dutch to create a motorized monocycle that isn’t even street legal! This wheel operates by using a centrifugal clutch on the inner steel frame to engage the 67″ diameter outer flywheel which makes contact with the ground using a rubber tire. A single rider can achieve speeds of 25MPH as the monocycle is powered by a 31cc, four-stroke 1 1/2-hp engine and steered by the passenger leaning to one side or the other. The frame is made of fiberglass which encloses the engine, drive train and fuel tank and provides a cushioned seat for riders up to 275 lbs.
This crazy gadget can run up to 2 hours on a full tank (1/2 gallon) of gas but to own this ultimate single wheeled vehicle you’ll have to pull out your credit card with a high credit limit as this impractical, albeit cool, vehicle is more expensive than Hyundai Accent which comes with a different kind of tilt steering wheel, seat-mounted and side-impact airbags, heating and air and a roof.
Gimmie!
Suggested Price: $12999 + $800 shipping
